Software compiled by SlapOS is depending by default on the glibc version by design. In given ecosystem the glibc is rather stable, but there are scenarios, like OS upgrade, when the library can be upgraded. Thanks to tracking the version, software will be assured to be recompiled in case of glibc changes, to avoid eventual bugs.
